Why Review Movie Theatres?

Movie Theatres are at risk.

More and more film fans are turned off by lousy experiences, and choose to stay home and watch movies on their increasingly capable home theatres.

But everyone agrees that a good cinema experience can never be replicated at home.

On a 60, 70, or 80 foot screen, the dinosaur roaring down at you is real. The widescreen landscape of an epic engulfs you. And the simple lives of everyday men and women are more engaging when they are inescapably larger than life.

Movies are social events. No home theatre can recreate the shared experience of watching a thriller, comedy, or drama with six hundred respectful moviegoers.

If lousy cinema experiences drive away enough movie-goers, the movie theatre will cease to exist. Film lovers MUST go out of their way to support quality cinemas, avoid terrible theatres, and share their experiences with others.

This site strives to collect and share that information, with the hope of helping quality movie theatres survive, improve, and prosper.
