Pacific Rohnert Park All-Stadium 16

555 Rohnert Park Expressway, Rohnert Park, CA 94928
(707) 586-5996 (Box Office)

Theatre purchased by Reading International

Saw Superbad in Auditorium 5 on 09/01/07 at 7:05.
I was disappointed to discover that Superbad was showing on a larger screen at 7:40.
After enduring 6 or 7 annoying commercials for a bunch of things I will make sure to never purchase, the presentation was pretty decent. The screen was not huge, but not tiny. A bit too much image was projected onto the masking. Sound was strong and clear. The audience was respectful. I got a box office phone number (above). Calling a live human is the only way to find out which showtimes are on the large screens, and which are on the small ones.

Saw "Charlotte's Web" in Auditorium 14 on 01/14/07
The screen had multiple vandalism markings on it across the bottom. The image was projected at least a foot onto the left masking, and a little less onto the lower masking. The screen was very small.

Auditorium 14 - Cinema Grade = F
Unfortunately, there is no way to determine which film is in which auditorum.

Saw "Rocky Balboa" in Auditorium 1 on 01/02/07.

Auditoriums 1 & 2 feature the largest screens, approximately 40 feet wide when opened for Scope, with side maskings.

The auditorium is sloped (as cleverly indicated in the theatre's name). The layout is effective, with good sightlines; not overly steep or flattened in the front.

Presentation was good. Minor quibbles: The soundtrack "skipped" once or twice and could have been a little louder. The image was a bit unsteady in the beginning.

There were five minutes of commercials prior to showtime start.

This theatre sometimes has disruptive crowds, and the smaller auditoriums are too small, but they put on a good show in their larger auditorums.

Cinema Grade = C+

Saw The Mist at 1:35 on 11/24/07 in Auditorium 5.

Good presentation on an adequately-sized screen.

The Mist features a number of "white-out" shots where any blemishes on the screen would have stood out. Thankfully, there were none.

Auditorium 5: C+
